摘要：The authors' group has been preparing to carry out an on-orbit fluid physics experiment in the Japan Experimental Module (JEM) aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The JEM consists of several test facilities. The Fluid Physics Experiment Facility (FPEF) is one of the facilities, which is designed to conduct variety of fluid physics experiments under the microgravity. The present authors proposed a series of experiments concerning the thermocapillary-driven convection in a half-zone liquid, and were selected as a candidate for a possible on-orbit experiment.
