        随着光碟技术的日益发展,DVD的发展不止在标清影碟播放阶段。HDTV已经进入普通消费家庭,下一代影音播放的趋势MPEG-4和备受欢迎的Divx的网络电影格式成为娱乐主题。DVD走向高端集成更多功能势在必行。本文以ESS公司的Phoenix ES8380处理器为DVD核心处理芯片,驱动IC、SDRAM存储器、Flash-rom存储器、音频DAC数/模转换电路等一起构成DVD播放器系统。该系统从功能上大体分成伺服控制部分和AV音视频解码部分,两者之间采用ATAPI接口实现数据的高速传输。本文研究四个方面内容:ES8380单芯片伺服系统,ES8380单芯片解码系统和ES8380单芯片应用电路,并对所设计系统进行了测试评价。该系统实现了下列目标:(1)支持多种碟片格式解码的伺服系统设计,伺服信号纠错以及信号的编解码。(2)音视频系统设计,多声道音频输出及HDMI输出设计。(3)音视频回路设计,mute回路、启动回路等设计,使系统达到设计预想的音视频指标要求。(4)系统信赖性设计,设计系统在高、低温和高温高湿环境下可以正常工作。使用ES8380单芯片系统,以一个芯片来替代原先伺服、解码两个芯片加速引擎,集成了多个信号处理功能模块,从而大幅提升了系统的解码速度与解码效率,使运行速度提高了10倍,从而使声色表现更为流畅和自然。此次设计的DVD单芯片系统在测试中表现较好,不仅能够支持多种每体编码格式,实现了USB等新功能,其他的电气指标也达到了设计要求。
    With development of laser disc, DVD can not merely limit to play standard definition video disk. HDTV has already entered ordinary consumption families, the future audio-visual trend MPEG-4 and very popular network film format of Divx has become the amusement theme. Integrating more functions is imperative for the development of DVD.In this paper, Phoenix ES8380 processor of ESS Company is used as DVD core process chip to drive IC, SDRAM, Flash-rom memory, audio DAC digital-to-analogue conversion circuit, ect. They constitute a DVD player system which is divided into servo control part and AV audio and video decoding part according to function. The high-speed transmission of the data between the two parts is realized by ATAPI interface. The paper includes four respects:ES8380 single chip’s servo system, ES8380 single chip decoding system, ES8380 single chip application circuit and system test and evaluation.This system has realized the goal of the following:(1) Design of a servo system supporting many kinds of video disc formats, servo signal error correcting and coding/decoding.(2) Design of a audio/video system, multichannel audio output and HDMI output.(3) Design of audio/video circuit, mute circuit and starting circuit, reaching all audio/video target requirements.(4)System reliability design. Making this system can work under high/low temperature and high humidity conditions.Based on ES8380 chip system, the servo and decoding chips are replaced by one chip. This accelerates the engine, promotes system decoding speed and efficiency, and accelerates the operation speed by 10 times, which makes audio/video display more smooth and nature. The DVD chip system does well in testing. It can support many kinds of code formats, realize USB functions, etc., and other electric indexes have reached the design requirements.
